Founder & Filmmaker

 

Juan Daniel Zavaleta is an award winning filmmaker. He is founder of Wineskins Entertainment Inc, and has over 20 years of video production experience.


His first film "El Evangelista' has won multiple awards and has aired nationally in the U.S. on the NBC affiliates Telemundo, and Telexitos and on PBS. It was presented at various prestigious film festivals and recieved international DVD distribution. It is currently available for streaming worldwide. He is listed on IMDB as a writer, director, producer, editor, and even as an actor.

 

Juan Daniel is also an accomplished singer/songwriter. His two music albums are available on Apple Music, Spotify, Pandora and Amazon Music.

Haunted Valley

A young man and his family encounter one of the many spirits that lurk throughout the Rio Grande Valley. He and his family must confront the evil head-on in effort to be freed from its grip.

 

Haunted Valley is the first feature from director Juan Daniel Zavaleta to be produced in The South Texas Rio grande Valley.

Glorious

Glorious is a film based on a true story about a young man's journey from an abusive home and his involvement in gang violence that ultimately sets his path to an encounter with God's love, mercy, and forgiveness.

The Evangelist

Pablo (J. Salomé Martínez, Jr.) is a Bible-quoting hit man who works along side of his wise-cracking sidekick Pedro (Nicolas Guzmán).

 

The dual relish in their work and even offer their victims the opportunity to redeem themselves before terminating their life.

 

Conflict occurs when Pablo is asked to kill a local pastor whose community outreach is curtailing the neighborhood drug trade. The security of his family, his friendship to Pedro and his own life are threatened when Pablo has second thoughts about killing a Reverend.

Death Do Us Part 

After finding that her husband has been unfaithful, Carmela decides to take matters into her own hands while underestimating the cost. Soon she is trapped in a world of blackmail and deception.

 

Winner of the 'BEST FEATURE' award at the 2010 Naperville Independent Film Festival and was also nominated for 'Best Actress' and 'BEST DIRECTOR'. It also screened as part of the Chicago Latino Film Festival that same year.
